Coronavirus Update

The Cumbrian Knee Clinic appreciates this is a difficult time for all. Please be reassured that Mr Dawson is taking every precaution to keep patients safe during this time.

Following the new advice published on 12th March from Public Health England and Health Protection Scotland, please be advised that you should not enter any of our sites if you have the following symptoms:

A new continuous cough

OR

A fever or high temperature (of 37.8 degrees centigrade or higher)

For your information, it advises you to stay at home (self-isolate), regardless of travel history or contact with confirmed cases, if you have:

a. A new continuous cough OR
b. High temperature (of 37.8 degrees centigrade or higher)

Currently Mr Dawson is consulting and operating as usual.

As you are all aware this is a rapidly changing situation so Mr Dawson would like to provide where possible an alternative to the face to face appointment as follows:

Follow Up consultations

where possible telephone consultations will replace face to face consultations. For patients that require x-rays these will be arranged at your local hospital. Please be advised that the local NHS advice will apply to the local hospitals re guidance on attendance.

New Pt consultations

Video / Skype consultations can be arranged.

The ADMIN Team will contact directly pts who have appointments already arranged to discuss alternatives.
